Using recycled planks, boards, or 4x4 lumber, students paint the “poles” to tell a story using images and words. The poles or planks can be “planted” outdoors to create a “forest” of painted stories. If only an indoor space is available, large cardboard tubes, or SONO tubes (used for concrete) could be used and a temporary forest could be set up.
