Many children don’t have the opportunity to take piano lessons. This program would give interested students who otherwise would never get a chance to be exposed to piano a small taste - 3 or 4 lessons, just enough to learn the basics, get a tune or 2 under their belt, give them some improvising skills and hopefully inspire them to do more. Piano can be a real kick-start for jumping into music in general, and learning a tune on a musical instrument can be a great boost to self esteem. This offering is intended for kids who show a keen interest, or whose well-being could benefit from some one on one music time.
