iPod Touch, Iphone and iPad Video and Stop motion Production Workshop with Simon D’Amours

Participants learn to produce HD videos including documentaries, news coverage, commercials, short films, and music and sport videos. Students could also learn about social media and how to expose and promote a production. This includes school radio, newspapers, websites, social networking sites and film festivals. Through the production of videos he guides students through their traditional curriculum and explores societal behaviour as a way to learn not only on an academic level, but also on a creative, socially responsible, and spiritual level.

Simon D’Amours

Simon D'Amours is the protagonist and co-producer of his debut television series, horsdessentiersbattus.ca that follow him as he meet with Yukon francophone. The thirteen episode, one hour documentary series will broadcast on unis.ca, a new francophone channel that is available across Canada since September 2014. Simon has produced video for national television stations, as well as commercial and private clients in Western Canada. Clients have included Yukon Government (Get Reel 2013-2014), Northern Cultural Expression Society, Yukon College, Skills Canada, and Belfor Canada (Restoration of The Canada Games Centre). Simon has also worked on the popular television series GoldRush Alaska and Yukon parle français documentary. In the last three years, Simon has offered over thirty video and stop motion production workshops in Yukon schools, for the Kwanlin Dun First Nation, and Arts Underground using the latest iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad technology. His instructional services are available in French and English, and can be adapted for children, youth, and adults. Depuis 2005, Simon D’Amours a produit une variété de vidéos pour des chaînes de télévision nationales, des clients commerciaux et des individuels, et ce à travers l’Ouest Canadien. Côté national, il a aussi produit des vidéos pour le gouvernement du Yukon (Get Real 2013-2014), pour la Northern Cultural Expression Society, pour le Yukon College, pour Skills Canada , ainsi que pour Belfor Canada (restauration du Centre des Jeux du Canada). Tout ça en plus d’avoir travaillé sur des plateaux de tournage, tels que Gold Rush Alaska et Yukon Parle Français.? Depuis les trois dernières années, Simon a offert au Yukon plus de trente ateliers de production de vidéos et d’animation stop motion, en français et en anglais, pour le Kwanlin Dun First Nation, Arts Underground, ainsi que pour diverses institutions ou écoles. Simon enseigne en français et en anglais, aux enfants, adolescents et adultes, en employant pour la plupart du temps, une technologie récente, telle que iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, etc...
