Oriental Hand Papermaking with Helen O’Connor

Oriental Hand Papermaking: A lively and physical process using oriental gampi bark students learn the ancient art of hand papermaking. The bark must be soaked and cooked before being hand beaten to a pulp which is used to make beautiful paper in a vat with screens. The paper is dried flat on boards and can be used for printmaking, drawing, painting or bookmaking.
