Cartooning: Editorial and Gag Cartoons (single panel) with Ted Boothroyd

Now more often seen on social media than in their original format in magazines and newspapers, single panel cartoons are an easy and socially acceptable way to tell a joke and/or express criticism. The concepts and techniques involved in this workshop will prove useful in making greeting cards and posters, enhancing school newspapers and much more. Topics: Coming up with ideas, considering what’s necessary to express that idea with the greatest possible impact, showing action, making the initial pencil sketch, inking and detailing.
