Amy Tessaro

Amy Tessaro

Amy Tessaro is from the Tahltan First Nation who was raised on Haida Gwaii and Whitehorse, Yukon. She enjoys working with many different art mediums, especially stained glass.  Amy learned all her stained glass techniques from her late father; Bruce Tessaro, who had been a stained glass artist for over thirty years. She taught herself how to etch unique form line designs on glass, which allows her to incorporate more First Nations designs that are not possible to cut, with her glass cutter. Amy is extremely thankful for artists such as Calvin Morberg and Jared Kane for teaching and sharing their form line designs with her.

Amy now has been teaching for over ten years. She offers beginner, intermediate, and advance stained glass classes. She loves instructing these classes and learning new ideas from her students.
